INNER BEAUTY/PHILOSOPHY

Becoming beautiful inside is what radiates beauty evergreen. This means looking at ourselves as people and reflecting what makes us who we are. Remember the world does not owe us a living, we are what we ourselves have created. Ask yourself, "Do I like who I am?" "Am I a good person?" When you give "of" yourself and start loving people in a unconditional way, liking them without being judgmental you begin to radiate beauty from within, you radiate it from your soul. It is through this you will achieve "Inner Beauty".

Taking Personal Responsibility for Your Own Destiny

I am a great believer in Karma, but just what is it? Karma comes from the Sanskrit and ancient Indian Language with the underlying principal that every deed in our lives will affect our future life. For example, if we treat others badly during our lifetime we will have negative experiences later on in that lifetime or in future lifetimes. Likewise, if we treat others well we will be rewarded by positive experiences.

In religions that believe in reincarnation, this belief is very important and forms the foundations of it. In my religion, Spiritualism, we have seven principals we aspire to, one of which is number six: "Compensation and retribution for all souls." This amounts to the same thing as Karma. It means you are responsible for all your own deeds — good and bad — and there will have to be some payback for all those deeds. Who decides this? Some may say it is God; in my beliefs it is the Universe. It has to be this way. The whole concept for us being on Earth is for us to learn and become better people, and thus closer to God, the Universe, or Spirit. We are only human. As humans, we mess up. We do it all the time and that is okay, for it is through mistakes that we reinforce the learning process. However, there will be some retribution if we have hurt others. There is no escaping this.

Just how much retribution will depend on how much we have reflected and learned and how much we realize what we have done. Much, if not all of this negative karma, may be cancelled out should we give out care, love, compassion, and understanding to others.

Above all, what is most important is that we realize each and every one of us is responsible for our own destiny. "For what we sow, we shall reap". Karma also transcends time, so if we think we have escaped it in this lifetime, we are mistaken. There is a constant shifting of energy in the Universe, from negative to positive and vice versa. It is not all doom and gloom. Likewise, if we have cared for, helped, and loved others, we shall be compensated and rewarded for doing so, whether in this life or the next. Always try to put yourself in the shoes of others and try to understand not everyone has had the same life experiences as you and accept this, but always do your very best.

It is not an easy way to live, but the following Reiki principals may help you (I am a Reiki Master):

• Just for today, do not get angry.
• Just for today, do not worry.
• Just for today, be grateful.
• Just for today, work hard.
• Just for today, be kind to others.

You just have to do this for one day, but then tomorrow is another day, so you start over, but by taking one day at a time like this, little by little, it makes it easier to try and aspire to these ideals.

WE NEVER KNOW

Its only when confronted with death we realise our own frailty, how we can be here and full of life on moment and weak and dying or dead in another. How loved ones can say goodbye on their way to work never to return home and those who are left behind have no closure. No time to say a final goodbye or a sorry or simply to say I love you as they make their final journey on this Earth to the next world.

The old adage is so true, "Never let the sun go down on an argument" but to take it further never leave any relationship in a state of limbo. Say what you mean, state how you feel and resolve it. Don't leave the other person wondering and saying, "If only" You never know when you will say a final goodbye. Always tell those you love, that you do, tell them everyday so when they do go on that final journey, they will with "I love you" still resounding in their ears.

WE NEVER KNOW

We never know what is around each corner
Or for what each day will bring
Some days may be sad others will make us sing
Live each day as there will be no tomorrow
Tell those you love you really love them
For your love will always sustain them, for sorrow
When it surely comes your love will ease the pain
For although the parting of death surely hurts
Trust and know you will see those you love once again

COMPENSATION AND RETRIBUTION

In a perfect world where everyone was at the same point in his or her development, there would be no problems, but we live in an imperfect world, where we are all at differing stages and there are good reasons for that. Even if we all began as equal souls, some would fall back and others develop quicker. For those who go on at a faster development need to be presented with more challenging tasks to stretch their abilities, hence spirit have thought of everything, they will present us with those souls, who are either younger or have not figured out yet as to why we are here, they will be our challenges. But you know spirit don’t want us to suffer or make us fail, we all have that ability to progress, we just have to listen to our higher self and this is our link with spirit and keep us strong. In our challenges regards relationships, we will be presented with those types of souls to learn from each other and part of our learning will be to cope with loss, be it love or trust. What is important here is forgiveness, if you are the one who has been hurt by someone, forgive him or her for really they have not yet seen the error of their ways and have much to learn. In time, they will be presented with many situations to help them do so. If it is your failing, look back and learn from it, forgive yourself and become the wiser for it. Holding on to grudges and past hurts does not help anyone and will only harm your own soul. Rest assured "Compensation and retribution for every soul", such is the way of the Universe and Spirit designed to HELP each and everyone one of us to challenge us and make us grow and not designed to harm as long as you have love in your heart and forgiveness in your soul, you will be loved and protected

TO INSPIRE AND MAKE YOU THINK

THE FOLLOWING BELOW ARE QUOTES FROM KAHLIL GIBRAN

One of the best selling poets of all time, He didn't write merely to describe or to give joy or even stir up the emotions, each poem was philosophy. When you read some of his work he puts life in the context where it's supposed to be, something that is necessary, we experience and we learn from and thus grow.

No matter which quote or poem you may read you will always take something away from it, no matter how many times you read them

One day you will ask me which is more important? my life or yours? I will say mine and you will walk away not knowing that you are my life.

If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don't, they never were.

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.

Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.

But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?

And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Yesterday is but today's memory, and tomorrow is today's dream.

I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers.

INNER BEAUTY

INNER BEAUTY
What shows on the outside comes from within
Every giving moment every mortal sin
It shows in the eyes the windows to your soul
It shows where you've come from, a tale to be told
All your experiences, your faults and your pride
It's etched in your psyche there's nothing you can hide
Nothing can be erased nor wiped clean
You may not see what others do but believe me it is seen
It reflects in your aura and the colours it dictates
It shows up regrets, your faults and your mistakes
And this will be seen and reflected for all to view
This becomes your inner beauty, this is You

IT IS POSSIBLE TO MANIFEST YOUR DREAMS

CASTLE IN THE AIR

I go to sleep and hope to dream
Of fairy tales, happy endings and castles on hills of green
Where a princess fair kisses a toad warts and all
Who turns into a handsome prince with glass slipper at a ball
But fairy tales are not life for real
As for kissing a toad I'd probably squeal
However if we do not aspire to hope
The mundanities of life we could not cope
All things tangible first begin with dreams
It doesn't matter how chances remote that they seem
A wish, a dream is a concentrated thought form it has to start somewhere
All the greatest plans of man began at first as a dream a 'castle in the air'

MPB (c)

Basically what this poem is about is HOPE and no matter how remote our dreams and plans are we can achieve them if we desire them badly enough. We can have anything we want in the Universe with one condition and that it is not detrimental to anyone else. This means, we cannot have anything that belongs to someone else. Every great building first begun as "A CASTLE IN THE AIR" that is it began with a dream, a thought, a plan and that plan was put into action. The thoughts were written down and drawn up and then physically it was created. The Universe gave us HOPE and was given to us for good reason to help us manifest our dreams our "CASTLES IN THE AIR"

A TECHNIQUE TO DEAL WITH WORRY

This is a great little technique to deal with worry you will need first of all a large glass jar, with a tight fitting lid. It doesn't have to be an expensive jar a large washed out coffee jar is ideal for you are not going to keep the jar when it is full

The jar should be kept near to your front door as the idea is you place all your worries in the jar e.g. worries about work, money, health etc. You will also require something like string, or wool, you can have different colours for different things e.g. green for health, yellow for money, it really doesn't matter but the more you can relate to the worries the better.

You will also need a pair of scissors and you keep the scissors and wool/string beside the jar by your front door. For every worry you have cut a length of wool/string you think represents how big your worry is e.g. for a big money worry cut a piece of yellow wool 12 inches long say and for a little health worry cut a piece of green wool 1inch long and place them in the jar and replace the lid. I am sure you will get the idea.

Over time you will find the lengths you cut will get shorter and shorter until you don't see them as worries at all. When the jar is completely full and full of all your worries you can either bury it in the garden or put it in the trash can, then you can begin a new worry jar.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF SPIRITUALISM

Spiritualism is a Philosophy

The Philosophy of Spiritualism

As was said in our introduction to this "About" section, the philosophy of Spiritualism is at the heart of the Spiritualist Movement. Spiritualists have no fixed creed, but they are asked to adhere to seven guiding principles. "The Seven Principles", as they are known, form the cornerstone of Spiritualism. They are principles to guide us, not a creed, and different Spiritualists will interpret them differently. They are the bones of a philosophy of living and each individual Spiritualist will put different flesh on those bones, according to his or her understanding and level of spiritual development. Spiritualists realise that it is very important to allow freedom to everyone, because we are all at different levels in our understanding and practice of all the many spiritual virtues. If we look critically at ourselves, all of us will find that we are forward in some of the virtues and backward in others. For example a person might be very courageous, but prone to jealousy and possessiveness, while another might be very loving and compassionate but not very strong willed. For all of us, there are areas of our spiritual life that we need to pay more attention to and develop. It is presumptious in any case to try to control the spiritual destiny of another. We have enough to concern us in trying to fulfil our own responsibilities.

The only way one can enforce compliance with a particular set of beliefs is by inculcating fear. There are, sadly, sections of all the major religions that do this, but Spiritualism is very opposed to it. Forcing compliance by engendering fear is counter-productive, spiritually destructive and dangerous. Fear is a negative emotion, closely related to other negative emotions like anger and hatred. When fear, anger and hatred mix together, the result can be explosive. Fear drives out love. If there is one thing that our "communion" with evolved spirit beings has taught us, it is that God - The Divine Spirit - is infinitely loving and infinitely compassionate. When we experience this love and respond to it, fear is removed. We are then free to experiment, question, test things for ourselves, and learn by trial and error and experience, knowing that a loving, merciful God tolerates this, indeed expects it. This is why Spiritualism has no fixed creed, just guiding principles, which we try to relate to everything we do. Released from all fear of some stern, avenging deity, we are also free to try to live our lives with love. As everyone knows, this is not always easy, but as long as we try to the best of our ability, we will be moving forward, and will be a part of that "eternal progress" that is open to everyone.

Spiritualism declares that it is a philosophy as well as a religion and a science, and when you study it you begin to appreciate that it is a highly developed metaphysical system. For that we have to thank the many highly-evolved spirit beings who have patiently explained so much to us over the last 160+ years about the afterlife, and the meaning and purpose of the relatively short time that we spend here in a physical body in this material world. Their communications have been brought to us thanks to the dedicated service of many gifted mediums, whose talents have included mental mediumship, trance mediumship, physical mediumship, direct-voice mediumship, automatic writing and psychic art. Whether channelled from spirit, inspired by spirit, or thoughtfully composed by the author, Spiritualist writings have much to teach us about morality, spirituality, life's enduring values, the meaning and purpose of life, and what we might expect on our eventual arrival in the Spirit World.

Our Seven Principles are legally accepted and a lawfully recognised definition of the religious philosophy of Spiritualism. A brief explanation of each one follows:
1.The Fatherhood of God

By the study of Nature - that is, by trying to understand the Laws of Cause & Effect which govern all that is happening around us - we recognise that there is a creative force in the universe. This force, or energy, not only created the whole universe, but also life itself in its many forms and is continuing to create today. The effects of this eternal creation can be seen around us and this leads us to the evidence that 'God' - 'The Creative Force' - manifests directly, or indirectly, in all things. We know this power as God and as we are part of the Life created by God, we acknowledge God as our Father.

2.The Brotherhood of Man

Because we all come from the same universal life source we are, in effect, one large family, small individual offshoot from the whole. This means that all mankind is part of a brotherhood. A brotherhood is a community for mutual support and comfort. We are all members of the same divine family. We need to share our joys as well as our burdens; we need to understand the needs of other individuals in order to assist them as part of our service to each other. As we learn to give so must we also learn to receive thereby achieving the necessary balance for our life. We must look not only to the material necessities of our fellow creatures but also to their spiritual needs and help those in need to become strong and worthy of their relationship in the Family of God.

3.Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels (This is the key Principle to our Religion)

All religions believe in life after death but only Spiritualism shows that it is true by demonstrating that communication with departed spirits can and does take place. Spiritualist Churches provide one of the venues where communication, through mediumship, is possible and many loved relatives and friends take advantage of this opportunity to continue to take an interest in our welfare. There are also spirit people/teachers who are dedicated to the welfare and service of mankind. Some (e.g. Silver Birch) bring inspiration and teachings whilst others work within the healing ministry.

4.Continuous Existence of the Human Soul

It is scientifically proven that matter (being part of the creative force, or energy) cannot be destroyed; it merely changes its form. Spirit, as part of the Creative Force is, therefore, indestructible. On the death of the physical body, the spirit continues as an integral part of a world, which interpenetrates our world but in a different dimension. This world is referred to as the SpiritWorld. In spirit life we have a spirit body, which until we progress far enough, is a replica of our earthly body. We are the same individuals in every way with the same personalities and characteristics and we change only by progression, or otherwise, as a result of our own efforts. Our personal responsibilities do not stop at death.

5.Personal Responsibility

This principle is the one which places responsibility for wrongful thoughts and deeds where it belongs - with the individual. It is the acceptance of responsibility for every aspect of our lives and the use to which we place our lives depends entirely upon ourselves. It is not possible for any other person, or outside influence, to interfere with our spiritual development, unless we are willing to allow this. No one can put right the wrongdoing except the offender. As we are given freedom of choice (freewill) so also are we given the ability to recognise what is right from what is wrong. We are totally, as well as personally, responsible.

6.Compensation and Retribution hereafter for all Good and Evil Deeds done on Earth

As with all the other Principles, the natural laws apply and this one echoes the law of Cause and Effect (as you sow, so shall you reap). One cannot be cruel and vindictive towards others and expect love and popularity in return. It must be understood that the compensatory or retributive effects of this law operate now -on earth - they do not wait until we begin to live in the Spirit World.

7.Eternal Progress open to every Human Soul

In every heart there exists the desire for progress and to every human spirit belongs the power to progress in wisdom and love.
All who desire to tread the path that leads to perfection are able to pursue it. The rate of progress is directly proportional to the desire for mental and spiritual understanding. If we do our best in earth life to follow our inward prompting or intuitions; we shall find progress very easy, on earth as in spirit; if not, every step in advancement will follow a struggle against imperfections, which we ourselves will have worked into our natures. Within the Family of God, with all the advantages that our realisation of that state can give us, we are all given the opportunity to be responsible for our own eternal progress.

As a final note to these principles, Spiritualism, through an intelligent and thorough investigation of its Seven Principles, reveals the understanding, the deepest significance of service to others and transforms life from selfishness to unselfishness, from individualism to social co-operation.Only on such a foundation can love and truth and all other spiritual values have any practical meaning or reality.

ASTRIDESTELLA'S PHILOSOPHY HOLDING ON TO GRUDGES

NEGATIVE BEHAVIOUR: SULKING AND HOLDING ON TO GRUDGES

In earlier articles I talked about the aura and how if you are negative the aura shrinks in on itself, this in turn affects how the life force circulates around the body, it affects the chakras and of course these in turn affect the functioning of the areas of the body they govern so eventually this will affect our physical health, by depressing our immune systems and various endocrine glands and so on. Which leads me on to holding on to grudges.

Sulking and holding on to grudges is immature behaviour, it solves nothing. If you have a disagreement or difference of opinion about something with someone try and solve it by dialogue. Not everyone has the same opinion about situations and beliefs etc. it would be a dull world if we all thought the same way. However if it leads to an argument and one party sulks or holds a grudge how can it ever be resolved and the longer it carries on the worse it will become. Someone has to give way so be the adult and better person and step forward and begin by saying sincerely, "I'm sorry I don't want for us to fall out lets talk and see if we can resolve this". If the other person refuses and carries on well you just have to leave them to it and walk away from their negativity and think of it this way in that they will only be harming their own soul. Do not copy their negative behaviour be the better person.

ASTRIDESTELLA'S PHILOSOPHY RESENTMENT

RESENTMENT
Is there any point in holding on to resentment, sulking and not talking to anyone? You may not have any control of how others treat you but you can set and live by example. How is there any hope of solution or compromise, if one or neither party is talking to the other? This goes for all arguments and this goes for wars too, someone has to make a move and this should be you. You will never make a "right" from two "wrongs", be the bigger person and make a special effort to hold out an Olive branch and I will tell you why.

Holding on to grudges, resentment like other negative emotions only damages your own soul in the long run, it will affect your health and well being for when you dwell in negativity this causes changes in your auric field causing it to shrink in on itself, this in turn then affects the functioning of the Chakras (energy vortexes within the body and responsible for conducting the body's life force through the body and maintaining homeostasis). Each Chakra governs a major endocrine gland thus affecting hormone balance, hormones are chemical messengers within the body that instigate actions in their target organs e.g. stress hormones such as cortisol instigating a rise in blood pressure, which in turn can damage the kidneys and heart long term. So can you see, how resentment and other negative emotions do us no favours?

So you hold out the Olive branch the other person has a choice, they can take it or they carry on with their resentment. You may even find they will apologise, this may even get them to talk and both of you together may then see the other's point of view. I would suggest you try this tact a few times appealing to the other party you want to resolve your differences, only by talking will you resolve your differences.

Supposing they turn away and refuse and want to carry on with their grudge in spite of all your efforts, supposing after you have tried appealing to them a few times even in a letter if they still wont talk and wish to carry on? Well then you walk away, knowing you have done your very best and leave this to Universal law. We live in a Universe where there is a constant balance and exchange of energy. What you give out, you will get back tenfold, this applies to Positive thoughts as well as Negative, if you are constantly giving out positivity to others you have nothing to worry about and all this positivity will be returned to you. However if you constantly want to be wrapped up in Negativity and things go wrong in your life you only have yourself to blame, this is the Universe's way of showing us if we don't learn by our own actions then we will have to take what comes to us. We all have personal responsibility. Sometimes we do have to walk away from toxic people all we can do is pray that spirit will help them see the errors of their ways. Walk away but send them love and hopefully that kind and loving thoughtform will instigate a change and help them for their own good.

In my religion, Spiritualism, we have seven principals we aspire to, one of which is number six:

"Compensation and retribution for all souls."

This amounts to the same thing as Karma.

ASTRIDESTELLA'S PHILOSOPHY THE AFTERLIFE

Ancient Egyptian view of the afterlife
 AFTERLIFE
What if you believed that this life was all that there is. That there was no afterlife, no heaven and no hell. How would you view life? Would you live for the moment? doing whatever you wanted, knowing that it didn't matter who you hurt and how you treated others? Or would you be sad knowing this was all that there was. If this is all there is, how would you feel knowing all your hopes, dreams and aspirations die with you? Knowing that you will never again see those you love when either they or you die. Wouldn't you feel sad? Wouldn't you question the whole meaning of life?

There are some people who believe in just this but the vast majority of us do believe in something, the desire to worship and believe in something is inherent within all of us. Be it a Higher Power or God, there is a tiny spark within all of us to believe what is right and wrong and to know there is something bigger than us. It's been there from the beginning of time. Ok there are someone people who's tiny spark may not be very bright but I firmly believe it is still there and its just a question of finding the right catalyst to trigger it off to burn a bit brighter.

If you believe there is a greater power and after we die we go on to live eternally how do you view your life. I feel this makes us more hopeful and it gives life more meaning and its more comforting to think our loved ones will live on. It makes our live feel more like a preparation for the next and it makes us more aware of how we should live our life and you can view life as a learning process.

But supposing you are given definite proof we don't die at all and you are given evidence that your loved ones live on? Supposing you are given evidence by those who have died messages beyond the grave, only something you could possibly know or better still where a third party has to verify this evidence? Would this comfort you to know, this life is not the end and know that you will meet your loved ones again? Would this change your outlook on life, would you live it differently with new meaning?

I firmly believe when you are given this hard evidence from spirit, you do see the bigger picture, it enables you to understand why we are here on Earth and it is comforting and it takes away the fear of death. For its fear of the unknown that causes the distress. It helps us view what is important in life and makes us realise material objects are just objects and do not matter in the scheme of things. Importantly it also fans that spark of righteousness thats within all of us to live our lives better and to treat others better. It brings us contentment.

EARTH IS OUR CLASSROOM

" There will always be times of adversity when we shall be tested and brought to the brink of despair and fear. At times like these, we may be tempted to forgo the ideals and principles that we hold dear. Yet, it is precisely at times like these that we must hold on to those ideals and principles tighter than ever. Ideals and principles are meant to be honoured because they are ideals and principles, and it is during the darkness of despair that we look to our ideals and principles as beacons of hope during our voyage across the stormy seas of challenge and adversity.
Life has many lessons, a lot of them we do not understand at the time we face them, but they all have a purpose. These lessons are only to help us grow and get stronger. Never stress over things that come up in life that are out of your control. Just know there is victory in the end. If you learn the lesson the first time, you will not have to repeat it over and over again."

This is so true we only realise how far we have come when we look back on our lives, then and only then do we see the bigger picture for at the time we cannot see the wood for the trees. It's only we we have come through adversity that we realise just how strong we have become. This is not designed to make us hardened in life but to enable us to support and give strength and comfort to those around us, whom who's paths we inadvertently come across, to be able to show empathy and understanding.

Never forget we will always meet others on our paths who are there to help us. When the days are long and dark and our struggles seem endless, we will never be alone to face pain and adversity. The Universe is kind.

Sometimes we need to be taken so low, but this is for our growth, but you will never be taken so low you cannot rise. Have faith, trust and the strength and support we need will be there always

ASTRIDESTELLA'S PHILOSOPHY ARGUMENTS/CONSTRUCTIVE DISCUSSION

ONLY BY CONSTRUCTIVE DISCUSSION CAN DIFFERENCES BE RESOLVED

Why am I not happy? Many people say this without stopping to think. This is often not because they are unhappy but in a period of stasis. We do need a certain amount of stress to motivate us, yet the curious thing is no stress at all is also stressful, we find we have too much time on our hands or we get stressed from the repetition of the same routine, change and variation keeps everything fresh and alive. This goes for all aspects of our lives, be it at home or work. However if you know the reason you are unhappy is the result of another's behaviour rather than leave it to fester it is best to tell the other party in order hopefully leading to a resolution, and not resulting in an argument.

When it comes to arguments and disagreements, these can be healthy as they help clear the air. For how are we able to know if our behaviour is affecting others, if no one tells us and likewise if we find others are upsetting us, instead of berating the other person we should tell them how we feel. The problems arise though because instead launching into a tirade of insults, it is much more constructive to start with, "I feel" and then go on to explain how YOU are feeling, without being insulting. You will then find it a lot easier to find some common ground and a solution. Another problem arises when airing grievances and that is one where old arguments are brought up, this is neither healthy or constructive. However what do you do, when you are trying to air your grievances healthily, you've started off by saying how you feel, you haven't insulted the other party, nor have you brought up the past but the other party has taken offence and gone on the defensive and started dredging up the past? Well keep calm, take a deep breath talk slowly and state you do not want an argument and that we are discussing ….etc and its unfair to bring up the past. If you are in a relationship with this person reassure them that you love them and that you don't want to argue but this is what I am feeling and I'm telling you because I love you and want to be truthful and honest and you are also my best friend and I am asking for your help. As soon as you say you are asking for their help you will generally find the whole atmosphere will change. However if they are  still acting negatively keep calm and try the broken record technique. If this doesn't help and you have done everything else correctly, then its best to wait until they have calmed down, so walk away and politely tell them  we will talk when we are BOTH calm. Now I know you are calm but if you say "YOU" it is more than likely they will flare up further.

When you have given them a suitable calming off period try again by stating you care and love them but you really want to resolve this as you genuinely didn't mean to cause distress, chances are they will have had time to think and you should be able to resolve your differences constructively. Of course you will get the sulkers and they require a different approach. Sulking is not a very mature thing to do, as it solves nothing for in order to come to a conclusion you need dialogue. Sulking is the adult version of a tantrum in my opinion, its a desire to be noticed and for attention. So you treat the sulker as you would a toddler having a tantrum. When a child has a tantrum its because they are too little to understand strong emotions and they are unable to cope, so the result is a tantrum. To dissipate a tantrum you walk away or remove the child to a quiet place firstly to help them calm down. You keep calm, you must not lose your temper as you have to control the situation for them. Calmly you talk and pretend the tantrum is not happening, you reassure the child you love them and talk quietly and lovingly to them, this does not mean to you have to give in, to what they wanted that caused the tantrum in the first place, but by being quiet and loving gradually the child will calm down and you can hug them when its all over. Its similar to what you do with a sulking adult, give them their space to calm down a bit. Talk quietly and calmly and reassure you care/love the person, you don't want to argue you really don't, but you do want to resolve things but in order to do this, we do need to talk. Now for persistent die hard sulkers you may have to leave them alone if they flare up at that and try this tact a few times but it does work.

Lastly an old saying but a true one, "Never let the sun go down on an argument". In other words don't let conflict drag on as it can grow arms, legs and bells on. Nothing is ever resolved by sulking, fighting or shouting at some point there has to be talking and if more people discussed their grievances there would be fewer wars and conflicts in this world

DIVINE TIMING~NOT A COP OUT FOR IMPATIENCE

 DIVINE TIMING
Time and time I hear from clients, when will it happen? can you give me a time? Sometimes I am lucky and I am given dates and timings but more often that not I am just told Divine Timing. It's not a cop out to give to the impatient but firstly there are no clocks nor is there a sense of time as we know it in the spirit realms and secondly it takes time to manifest the optimal times for the best result.

If you want to experience more harmony, happiness and effortless manifestation of your desires in life, you have to let go of all resistance towards whatever that comes your way. The reason why we fight against what comes is because we think that we are being kept from having our way. But the truth is whatever that happens is exactly what is meant to be, and it is all part of the process of the manifestation of our desires. Everything is happening in divine timing and we can flow if we do not limit ourselves.

Sometimes you were expecting to meet someone on a certain day but when that day comes, the person cannot meet you for some valid reason. Flow with it and meet that person on another day. The reason why you might be resisting change of events is because you have been anticipating it and thinking a lot about it. But when it doesn’t happen at the expected time, you don’t know what to do in place of it because you don’t feel like doing anything else other than that which you already had in mind.

If something doesn’t happen at the expect time in the expected way, it means it’s going to happen at a better timing in a better way. Don’t resist what is happening but instead focus on doing something else. You will discover things gone a much better way after the whole event has passed. You did something important which enhanced the meeting with the person that would not have happened otherwise. Hence it is better not to resist what is happening when it isn’t necessary, but to just go with the flow.

Just know everything happens at the RIGHT TIME AND THE BEST POSSIBLE TIME and only spirit knows this and we have to learn to trust, they do know what is best for us because spirit love us. Spirit have the ability to know what is ahead and any complications so they decide what is the best time to manifest our wishes. If we were to rush things before the optimum conditions were reached it could prevent our wishes manifesting, this is why we need to trust and believe in Divine timing.

POSITIVE THINKING AND AFFIRMINATIONS

POSITIVE THINKING AND AFFIRMATIONS CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE
The benefit of positive thinking has been proven through much research. What Affirmations do are to consciously harness the power of positive thinking and direct it to specific areas of your life that need attention or where you want to bring about change.
Affirmations work and can really transform your life!

Affirmations and positive thinking are very powerful tools that can bring about healing and change. However negative thoughts are just as powerful and can be very self-destructive. Although we have no control over all what goes on in the world and certain aspects of our lives, we do have control over the way we interpret and how we deal to it.

"The thoughts we think and the words we speak create our experiences"

You experience your interpretation as an internal dialogue. Thoughts, judgements and feelings are ceaselessly swirling through your mind. Thoughts like: I like this; I don't like that; I am afraid of this; I am unsure about him/her. This internal dialogue is not random, it is generated from a deep level by your beliefs and assumptions which have been formed and accumulated from the time you were born. It is worth remembering that a lot of these assumptions and beliefs were formulated as a child and have never been re-examined and therefore may be highly inappropriate to you as an adult or just simply wrong. When someone's interpretation changes, a change subsequently takes place in their reality. Thus we can make big changes in our lives by changing our thinking. We can start simply with positive thinking and Affirmations and then go further with Neuro Linguistic Programming.

The first step is being aware, being aware of how we are thinking, it is then we can change old patterns and mind set.

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is  therapy  which seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behaviour".

The co-founders, Richard Bandler and linguist John Grinder, believed that NLP would be useful in "finding ways to help people have better, fuller and richer lives".They coined the term "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" to emphasize their belief in a connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral patterns that have been learned through experience ("programming") and can be organized to achieve specific goals in life.

It is often noted as a "science of excellence", derived from the study or "modeling" of how successful or outstanding people in different fields obtain their results. Bandler and Grinder claimed that if the effective patterns of behaviour of outstanding therapists (and other exceptional communicators) could be modeled then these patterns could be acquired by others.

SPIRITUAL PHILOSOPHY~THE PAST IS GONE

The past is gone. Whatever mistakes you have made you must forget. You come into your world to make mistakes and to learn from them. Forget the past. It is the present that matter. Philosophy of Silver Birch pp137

See every day as a clean sheet, you cannot relive the past. None of us on Earth are perfect for if we were, there would be no need for us to be here. Nor should you worry too much about the future. If you spend time worrying what might happen you will miss out on what is happening at this moment in
time. It is the present you are in control of, it is the present you can change.

A BIGGER PICTURE

I wish I had a magic wand
To make things right that are wrong
I'd change so much I dearly would
And bestow happiness if I could
But life is not fair, its not meant to be
For the lessons in life we would not see
We are here on Earth to be educated
Not in academia  but compassion and empathy it's fated
To understand we have to see the other's side
To feel and experience and from pain we cannot hide
It's only through experience we can learn
Even though we wish for better that we yearn
We have to look at life from a different view
And know each lifetime will be different too
Some will be joyful and in that we should relish
To see through the tough times that will be hellish
Remember this there is no magic wand
No fairy dust, nor magic spells to change whats wrong
That doesn't mean things wont change
And to you this philosophy might seem strange
But for all souls there is retribution and compensation
Hold on to that thought and make it you life's mission
No experience is wasted but cleverly crafted and designed
This lifetime you are on is but a grain of sand
Within a bigger picture  to be viewed
To enrich and educate that soul within you

ASTRIDESTELLA'S PHILOSOPHY~DON'T FEAR NEW OPPERTUNITIES

AN OPEN DOOR
If you are faced with an array of doors what do you do? Like if you are choosing a new kitchen or visiting a show home you want to open these doors and see what is behind them. Similarly supposing you have been in a dentist or doctor's waiting room and you see some closed doors, don't you wonder what's behind them?

So why is it when the Universe shows us new doors, we are so reluctant to open them. Sometimes opportunities are put there for us to explore, we might be missing out and we will never know unless we try.

We cannot change what is past but we can influence the present and the future. We only learn new things from trying something new. It's an old saying but a true one "A change is as good as a rest". Don't go through life thinking "If only" If a new opening is presented to you, it's there for a reason.

AN OPEN DOOR

Don't shy away from an open door
Throw caution to the wind and explore
Don't be frightened of what's unseen
You can't change what has been
Think of all the new and bright
Trust in spirit and follow the light
And if it guides you and beckons you step through
For trust and truth will walk with you

ASTRIDESTELLA'S PHILOSOPHY 'DON'T ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR THE ANSWER'

DON'T ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR THE ANSWER

Being a psychic medium I am asked questions all the time, most often what is he or she thinking? I cannot tell you this as I do not read minds and in fact no psychic medium can read minds. What we do firstly on a psychic level is to read Auras and it is within the aura we are able obtain information about a person's past, what is going on in the present and the potential for the future. I say potential because nothing is written in stone for although we all incarnate with a basic blueprint of choices about what we wish to gain from our life, we also have free will and it is this free will that makes accuracy more difficult. On a mediumistic level I can communicate with guides or loved ones and it is up to them and my interpretation whether I can gleam any information. Sometimes guides will deliberately not reveal information and will step back, this is because there is a challenge and lesson involved and its in our interest to go through it as it will be a valuable teaching experience for us.

Further many will ask questions about a situation and the answer may not be to the questioner's liking. Life is not a bed of roses all the time, so sometimes you may get an answer not to your liking. As a psychic medium I have to give what I am given. Where would my credibility be if I just made it all up and I try my best to give evidence only the recipient would know and I do this mostly with spirit. That does not mean I don't have personal responsibility, that we all do, so I do have to chose what I say wisely and you need to be aware answers are based on many factors, the link, the connection and the medium's interpretation.

Sometimes the answers you may seek will not be the outcome you desire. The moral is: "Don't ask questions if you are not prepared for the answer"

ASTRIDESTELLA'S PHILOSOPHY~THE "RIGHT TIME"

Have you ever stopped to think how wonderful nature is and how it has thought of everything? If you think of the human body and how our bodies work all the chemical changes that take place within our livers and digestive system, not to mention how all our individual cells come together and form us and how these cells reproduce copies of each other and if not we have a fall back system, our immune system to deal with any malformed ones. And how wonderful, how we can reproduce and form new people and how these babies, no matter how tiny are perfectly formed.

Ok the next bit of what I'm going to say might seem a bit silly, but when you think of it, it does make sense. As we get older, we don't look as good as we used to, we may put on a bit of weight and become a bit flabby, our skins wrinkle and is not as firm as it used to be. But nature has thought of this too, we loose the ability of being able to focus our eyes close up, so we cannot see the fine detail as we used to so when you look in the mirror (unless its a magnifying one) we see ourselves and others in fuzzy vision, so within our generation, we don't notice the ageing as much.  Nature's way of helping us cope with age don't you think?

But on a more serious note, the Universe like Nature thinks of everything and all part of a plan, there is a right time for everything in life and if it doesn't happen when you want it to, it was because it wasn't the right time. For a plan to come together all the components must be there at the right time, as is the case with the human body, for the body to live it needs oxygen, water and food and our bodies need all the correct enzymes to digest that food. And so it is with our desires, each part has to come together and if that part isn't ready it cant happen. If something is meant to happen it will and because Nature and the Universe is so incredible, it will do so at the "RIGHT" time.

MISTAKES

In life we make many mistakes, its the way its meant to be
For when we do, we can rectify and see
It's part of our spiritual growth and the way in which we learn
But don't worry about what could have been and yearn
Learn from the past and see what went wrong
And make it right and seek the dreams for which you long
If your wishes did not happen it was not the right time to
There is a time for everything for your desires and hopes to come true
So learn from your mistakes and don't ponder on "If only"
You have been given another chance, so there's no need to be lonely
The Universe is wise it knows how to plan and its knowledge is great
For if you have a heart that's pure trust in its fate
It's knows what is best for us, it knows before we do
So believe in love and all its joys and its treasures will find you

WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER BECOMES AJAR

'ello 'ello 'ello! The Bill's Reg set for Hollywood stardom after winning best actor award

A former actor from The Bill has won hearts and awards in America.
Jeff Stewart, who played dopey Reg Hollis in ITV's The Bill for 24 years, has won a Best Actor Award at the Manhattan Film Festival.
His new film Under Jakob's Ladder, which also picked up the award for Best Film, has now launched Jeff into Hollywood stardom and he has already been signed up to five other movie projects.

55-year-old Jeff told the Sun: 'When they said, 'The best actor goes to Jeff Stewart' a cold shiver went from the tips of my toes to the top of my head and to the end of my fingers.
'I heard the announcement but it was like, 'Did he really say that?'
'I slowly walked up on stage. I said to the audience, 'This is absolutely extraordinary. This is amazing'. I thanked everyone.
It has been a 'hell of a journey' for Jeff who attempted to commit suicide three and half years ago after being fired from his popular role as PC Reg Hollis on The Bill.

After 24 years on the popular ITV1 police show Jeff was told that Reg would be axed in January 2008.
Whilst the actor was also facing difficult times off screen, the news came as  shock and Jeff felt betrayed by the show.
He told the newspaper: 'I felt I had been badly let down.'
After hearing the plans from the shows producers Jeff went back to his dressing room and still dazed by the news he slit his wrists.
As he began to black out he changed his mind and rang the front desk for help.
Luckily he was found in time and was rushed from the studios in Merton, South West London to hospital.

'I didn't see a counsellor, it was evident I was OK and I never worried how it would affect my career.
'I thought, 'I have a choice, you can either stagnate or blossom'' he added.
When pictures of Jeff emerged on the internet sporting a full beard, fans presumed he was still suffering depression however, Jeff defended his scruffy appearance as a way to distance himself from the clean shaven Reg with whom he had become synonymous.
He said: 'I didn't cut my hair for three years. It was a thought-out, deliberate choice.
'I thought, 'I have to look as different as possible'.

The beard worked, because Jeff made four films with that look and one of those films was the award winning Under Jakob's Ladder.
After auditioning for the film over the telephone, he flew to the states and won the role of Jakob Seel, a German living in 1940s Soviet Russia.
The film, which is about Stalin's secret police in the anti-religous state, was made in 21 days on a small budget of only £200,000 by brothers Robert and Nann Nunoz - the grandsons of real-life Jakob.
The film is now expected to be picked up by a big film studio after it will be shown at the London and Berlin film festivals.

AT WHAT POINT DOES THE SOUL ENTER AN UNBORN BABY?

This is a hot topic at what point does the soul enter the body, does it happen at conception or closer to birth?  As a Medium I am often asked, what happens to babies who are lost in the womb through miscarraige or abortion and when does that baby have a soul. I can only go on my teachings and experience and the teachings of Spirit guides. I do know that when a baby passes over it grows up in the spirit realms and he/she will always know who his/her parents are and will be reunited when the parents pass over.
I lost my first baby I was devastated but some how I just knew this baby was never to be. It gave me comfort to know and this was explained to me at the time by a very experienced Medium, that the soul had chosen me to be its parent and that it was a very pure soul, that had never experienced life in the womb and it wanted to experience this.
But what happens to all those babies souls who are aborted? There will be those who will disagree with my point of view and I am not condoning the practise, but those souls also chose this experience. There will be some who will argue that the soul enters at conception but from spiritual teachings and philosophy from spirit guides this does not seem to be the case. I might add conception happens around a week before the developing blastocyst (a ball of cells) in the fallopian tubes and not in the Uterus so those who use the IUD or the progesterone mini pill, you are in fact rendering the uterus to becoming hostile to the embryo implanting.
From the sources below which are concurrent with Spiritual teachings the soul is not fixed within the fetus until just before birth and is free to leave the fetus and come and go. What happens will depend on that soul's destiny and what is planned and what that soul wishes to experience.
THE FOLLOWING IS FROM http://www.afterlifedata.com/afterlife
When the spirit decides it is going to be that human, the soul begins its development then inside the fetus, even at the beginning of conception. The transformation from spirit to human is the aspect of a new soul, a new personality, a new ego being created. Though spirit is always who you are and is always with you, it is not in a conscious form as your soul is. And your soul is the makeup of your humaness.

Soul creation

Question: You have earlier described when a person crosses over, their soul leaving their physical body and entering in and being absorbed into the spirit. When a baby is reincarnated, is the opposite process underway, namely, a new soul is created and detached from the spirit in order to reside completely within the infant's body?
Spirit Guide: We will try to describe what we think you are asking about. The transformation from spirit to human is the aspect of a new soul, a new personality, a new ego being created. And as this soul is evolving during the pregnancy stage, that is how the humanness is being created. And the consciousness of spirit moving from spirit form into human form, and though spirit is always who you are and is always with you, it is not in a conscious form as your soul is. And your soul is the makeup of your humaness.

Question: And could you describe when the soul enters the infant?

Spirit Guide: When the spirit decides it is going to be that human, the soul begins its development then even at the beginning of conception.

Question: And if you like, it is located inside the fetus, the infant at that time?
Spirit Guide: Yes. For the soul is the beginning of the birth of the human and the spirit will eventually become around, as we have said many times, at two years old--become the subconscious connection to the human but never leaves it.

Agreements

Journey of Souls by Newton

At some point prior to birth, the soul will carefully touch and join more fully with the impressionable, developing brain of a baby...Depending upon the inclinations of the particular soul involved, the connection may be early or late in the mother's pregnancy. I have had cases where souls timed their arrival at the last minute during delivery, but this is unusual. My findings indicate even those souls who join the baby early seem to do a lot of traveling outside the mother's womb during her term.

Destiny of Souls by Newton

The soul and brain of a new baby appear to begin their association as two separate and distinct entities and become one mind....Although the physical organism of the body will die, the soul who occupied that body never forgets the host which allowed them to experience Earth in a particular time and place.

Destiny of Souls by Newton

When a soul joins with a new baby, I can be fairly sure the partnership will address both the soul's shortcomings and a body-mind who needs this particular soul. The planners choose bodies for us which are intended to combine our character defects with certain body temperaments to produce specific personality combinations.

Seth Speaks by Roberts

Some personalities are drawn to enter at conception...Other personalities who never completely take to earthly existence may hold off full entry for some time, and even then always remain at a certain distance from the body.

Seth Speaks by Roberts

Various methods of entry are adopted. If there is a strong relationship between the parents and the child-to-be, then the personality may enter at the point of conception if he is extremely anxious to rejoin them. Even here, however, large portions of self-awareness continue to operate in the between-life dimension.

The Seth Material by Roberts

The fetus does have its own astral form. Now, this astral form belongs to the individual, the personality as it will be in this life. It is not the astral that existed in a 'previous' reincarnation... There is great energy connected with the fetus, for at no other time in physical life is so much energy utilized so purposefully and so well directed. It is this charge of energy of truly cosmic proportion that allows for the initial breakthrough into matter. The personality is busy transforming literally infinite data. Much of this work has already been done by the third month of pregnancy. As quickly as the new data forms the fetus and physical structure, the self from the previous reincarnation must begin to withdraw its hold. It enters briefly into this process (of birth) but it does not become the new individual. It helps form the new individual and then it must withdraw. The new self unit must be free and not hampered by the demands that could otherwise be put upon it. The new individual has a deeply buried memory of its past lives, but the personal consciousness of the last reincarnated self must not be superimposed upon this new identity. The new personality, in its small astral body, does visit with other portions of the entire identity. It is even given lessons of a kind, but it is very much its own self.

The Book of the Soul by Ian Lawton

As to the timing of incarnation, Newton's subjects report entering the fetus usually from somewhere between five months into pregnancy right up until just before birth, with the onus on the soul itself to choose the timing. Wambach provides considerable details in her survey, finding that eighty-nine per cent of her subjects did not enter the fetus until six months into pregnancy, while thirty-three percent of these delayed until just before or even during, birth. Of the other eleven per cent, quite a few suggested they entered as early as the point of conception. She also found that souls appear to know if a child is going to be born prematurely, and make sure they enter in time, even if in something of a rush. Whitton's subjects report that they enter between several months before birth to as late as just after it, while Cannon's subjects report entering any time from conception right up until some days after birth. Perhaps the most balanced view is Modi's, whose patients describe entering properly at any time between conception and the birth itself, but also suggest that they place a least of their soul energy into the fetus at conception.

Between Death & Life by Dolores Cannon

Cannon: Under normal circumstances, can you tell me at what point or at what time in the progress of the human physical development does the soul or spirit inhabit the body?

Spirit: It is at that point at which the spirit chooses to inhabit. It could be at the precise moment of fertilization or conception, or perhaps some time removed from the birth experience, so as not to have to experience the trauma of birth. It is entirely up to that individual spirit's choice.

Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts
...there is no rule, then, saying that the reincarnating personality must take over the new form prepared for it either at the point of conception, in the very earliest months of the fetus's growth, or even at the point of birth...If there is a strong relationship between the parents and the child-to-be, then the personality may enter at the point of conception if he is extremely anxious to rejoin them. Even here, however, large portions of self-awareness continue to operate in the between-life dimension....If the new personality has not entered earlier to any full extent, it usually does so at birth, in order to stabilize the new organism. It comforts the new organism, in other words.

The Spirits' Book by Allan Kardec

When does the spirit unite with the body? Answer: The union begins at conception; it is complete only with birth. From the moment of conception, the spirit assigned to animate a given body is united with that body by the perispirit, which brings spirit and body closer and closer as the moment of birth approaches. When that moment arrives, the infant's cry announces that it is now among the living.

The Spirits' Book by Allan Kardec

Is the union between the spirit and the body final from the moment of conception? ... Answer. The union is definitive in one sense: no other spirit can replace the one who has been chosen to inhabit that particular body...

Disagreements
Destiny of Souls by Newton

Souls join their assigned hosts in the womb of the baby's mother sometime after the third month of pregnancy so they will have a sufficiently evolved brain to work with before term...After birth, an amnesiac memory block sets in and souls meld their immortal character with the temporary human mind to produce a combination of traits for a new personality.

Destiny of Souls by Newton

...I have never had a single case where a soul joined the fetus in the first tremester. The reason that souls do not begin their complex merger with a fetus under three months is quite simply because there is not enough brain tissue for them to work with at this stage.

ASTRIDESTELLA PHILOSOPHY~ "The reward is in the giving"

The story from the Daily Mail doesn't surprise me in the least, something I discovered for myself many years ago and more so because I worked in the caring professions. I have written much on this over the years and its something I teach in Spirit Philosophy and something many discovered centuries ago from when that proverb was written "It is better to give than to receive", here this study details scientific evidence to prove this. But there's more to it than science looking at this holistically i.e. mind, body and the most important aspect of ourselves 'spirit' following spiritual principals 'retribution and compensation for all souls. This is the basis for one of the most fundamental laws of the Universe, the one of "Cause and effect". What you do today ultimately affects tomorrow, like the ripples from a stone thrown into a pool of water, these effects of the ripples are wide reaching and you never know how far those ripples will travel and what effect they will have on the surroundings.
When we do a kindness, the recipient more often than not will feel touched that you helped them and want to repay you or pass on the kindness. Of course there will be some who will take your kindness for granted and I like to think those that do are few and far between and we should not dislike those but instead pity them for they are younger souls who have not yet discovered what you give out you get back. All we can do is hope by showing example something will resonate within their psyche and trigger something, where they will see how the Universe works.
As I have said many, many times: "The reward is in the giving"
PLEASURES TOKEN WAS IN THE GIVING
Betrayal of trust comes in many forms
Like the love from a parent that flounders and fails
Or from family members those whom once trust
From the dearest friends you thought once had
From whom you thought were there in times of sad
When you gave your all and then some more
Yet happy you were to give to those whom you adore
For that is love and all its gifts
Pleasures token was in the giving but now there's rifts
And how it came to pass, to be this way
You know not how you thought they'd always stay
And yet you love so unconditionally
For that is how you chose to live
Having so much love inside to share, to give
For that is me and how I am I cannot change
And for some people that may sound so strange
For me the pleasures of the living
Is opening my heart and purely giving

Forget chocolate, sex and money... caring for others can bring just as much pleasure and benefit your health

  • Support-giving triggers reward-related regions of the brain
  • Helping others can boost happiness and reduce stress

Caring for friends and family benefits the giver, not just the receiver, scientists say.
Confirming the proverb 'it is better to give than to receive' researchers at the University of California say that lending support to others is a pleasurable experience which can boost happiness and lower stress.

During trials they discovered that when patients were able to help loved ones they
experienced positive emotions commonly associated with chocolate, sex and money.
Researchers at the University of California say that lending support to others is a pleasurable experience which can boost happiness and lower stress
Researchers at the University of California say that lending support to others is a pleasurable experience which can boost happiness and lower stress
Lead researcher, Naomi Eisenberger said: 'When people talk about the ways in which social support is good for our health, they typically assume that the benefits of social support come from the support we receive from others.
'But it now seems likely that some of the health benefits of social support actually come from the support we provide to others.'

During the study 20 young heterosexual couples in healthy relationships were observed.

Each of the men
were subjected to painful electric shocks while their girlfriends underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) brain scans which measured changes in blood flow related to neural activity in the brain.
At times, the women could provide support by holding the arm of their boyfriends, but on other occasions they were forced to watch as their partners received shocks.

Findings revealed that when women were able to help their boyfriends reward-related regions of the brain were activated, including the ventral striatum and septal area.

Under conditions in which no support was provided, these regions showed decreased activity.

Eisenberger said:
'One of these regions, the ventral striatum, is typically active in response to simple rewards like chocolate, sex and money.'
'The fact that support-giving also activates this region suggests that support-giving may be processed by the brain as a very basic type of rewarding experience.'

Findings, published in the journal
Psychosomatic Medicine also suggest that offering support to others can help reduce stress.
Scientists
noted an interesting pattern of neural activity in the septal area, which in addition to being a pleasure center, plays a role in stress-reduction by inhibiting regions of the brain that process threats.
Eisenberger said: 'This finding suggests that support-giving may have stress-reducing effects for the person who provides the support.'

She also noted that
support-giving could be a basic human instinct, aiding the 'survival of our species.'

Eisenberger is now conducting further research on how giving to others may reduce our stress responses and ultimately contribute to better health.

PSYCHIC QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

PSYCHIC QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE TO FORECAST THE FUTURE AND OTHER QUESTIONS?

I am often asked various questions pertaining to the spirit world and various aspects of the psychic, here are some of them: I will in time feature more questions and answers as this webpage evolves

Q. Is a psychic or medium a fortune teller?
A. It may surprise you to know psychics and mediums are not fortune tellers
Q. Is it possible to forecast the future?
A.Well not 100% and this is because of free will.
Q. What is free will?
A. Free will is YOUR right to decide what you want to do about a situation, it is a choice
Q. How does free will affect a situation?
A. Well before we incarnate as Spirit in a human body, we decide on what experiences and challenges that will benefit our spiritual growth. However we are given the choice (free will) as to whether we go through with the experience or challenge. In effect we are allowed to change or mind.
Q. So are you saying we all know what lies before us?
A. Well in a way we all do. Remember we are 'Spirit' in a human body and your spirit does retain a memory but it is deep in our subconscious. This memory is retained deeply for a reason to help us fulfill our experiences and challenges we ourselves chose. However it is also at this deep level so we are not so aware. If you knew what lay before you would you go through with it? Probably not but we still retain this memory deeply and this reflects in our Aura.
Q. So what is the Aura?
A.The aura is The Aura is an electromagnetic field that surrounds living bodies, this includes people, animals, plants and crystals and is composed of several layers that are constantly moving. The Aura links us to whats known as Universal energy i.e. that is all the knowledge in the Universe past, present and future. It is on this aura that psychics are able to tap into and access your past, whats going on in the present and the possible future and I say possible specifically if your goal or desire is dependent on other people, for remember every person involved in a situation has free will.
