A TOUGH LESSON

ACCEPTANCE

Sometimes we may have to walk away from situations or toxic people, we may try our best to work at a situation, to listen and support others but sometimes we get no where. 

There is a saying sometimes we have friends for a reason and others for a season and sometimes for a lifetime and the earth keeps turning and nothing stands still for it can't be stormy forever it does come to an end. For only when you have gone through tough times, you can look back and understand why those circumstances came about and why this had to be. 

No matter what, genuine friends stick with you and accept we all have a right to our own opinions and these might not be compatible with one another however the thread of unconditional love never breaks no matter what. 

For those we have walk away from and for those who have walked away from us accept it, they have their own life path to follow we've done our interaction with them let them go now. We cannot interfere in others’ destiny we are not allowed to, for if we are not meant to we will be taken away from them one way or another. Only if we are meant to be will we be there. The fly in this ointment is free will nobody or nothing can make us do anything but we can make the right choices by listening to our hearts for our heart is the the seat of our soul and it knows the truth and the path we need take. One of the hardest if not the most so lessons in life is 'Acceptance ' but when you do ‘accept’ a block will lift from your life you will feel better......until the next life lesson comes along

Physical pain only affects the earthly body and can be solved, there are many advances in medicine to deal with this. Only a kindred soul who has gone through and felt  emotional pain has the skills and experience to empathise and can truly unburden others. 

As you develop spiritually you will do more good by allowing others unburden their emotional pain onto you for you are the key to their release. This undertaking is tough but necessary your time just now is making keys of which there are many. One day you will have a full set. See yourself as a seeker of knowledge. 

The day will come when you are akin to a sponge when you cannot take in anymore, it is then you will have achieved full spiritual growth. Do not fight this. Your lesson is acceptance, know this is so, remember one cancels out the other."

It's a very true saying no one can ever understand unless they have walked a mile in another’s shoes.

Remember too, "Compensation and Retribution for all souls" you will never go unrewarded for those you help

To inspire the ambassadors of spirit

You are all privileged to be ambassadors of the Great Spirit. You are representatives of the Great Spirit wherever you labour. It becomes your charge and responsibility to see that your gifts are used in such a fashion that they produce the maximum good wherever you can.

There will be brought to you those whom you can help. They will often be pitiful derelicts, sick, ill, worried, cheerless, full of problems, feeling that life on earth has nothing more to offer them. It becomes your privilege to help them to become aware of themselves, of their true nature, of their inner spirit, the gift of divinity conferred at birth, so that they begin to get a realization of how they should order their lives and derive from them the fullness, richness, beauty, splendor and radiance that should be theirs.

That is your function, to make the power of the spirit available to all who come to you. It is the reason why you have buildings, churches, temples and societies, so that you are accessible. And accessibility is the reason for the existence of all your organizations.

I want you to appreciate that so far as we are concerned, if you help one soul to find itself, to become aware of its latent divinity and to begin to express it, then the whole of your earth life is well worth while. But you will be able to help more than one. You will be able, as a result, to perform this unique service that no others in your world can possibly give because they have made themselves inaccessible to the power of the spirit which is the life-giving essence for the whole cosmos in which we all dwell.

Do not worry if any come to you and after you have done your best you are unable to help them. They have had their chance. You must be sorry because they have not taken it. What you must realize is that until their soul is touched, until they are spiritually ready, there is nothing you can do to help them.

What will produce this preparation is not always easy to understand. It may be an illness. It may be a crisis. It may be anything which brings them to the lowest depths of despair, when they feel there is nothing in the whole of the material world that can produce the answer. Then they should begin to come into their own and you should be able to kindle the divine spark so that it can begin to grow into a lambent flame. That is why you exist in your churches, societies and organizations.

I must also say this. Because of what you are, because this tremendous power, divine in origin flows through you, yours is the greater responsibility to see that you do nothing that in any way lessens the trust that is reposed in you. We are not dictators. We are not your masters. We do not regard you as marionettes who have to dance when the strings are pulled in our world. You are our co-operators. We want to work together. We will always provide whatever is spiritually necessary according to the conditions available at the time.

We will lead. We will guide. We will direct. We will help, but we will not order. We will not compel and we will not dictate. If you hear, supposedly emanating from our life, entities who command you to do this, that and the other, you can be sure that their spiritual status is not very evolved. Co-operation is the law of the spirit. We would win you with love, with common sense and with reason. We would offer you nothing that is an insult to your intelligence or would make your reason revolt. Together we can help the Great Spirit in the eternal processes of evolution and creation.

This is the task on which we are all engaged. This is the opportunity given to all of us to help the Great Spirit so that His children may live a richer, fuller life and not waste all the opportunities earth provides in obtaining the equipment that is necessary when people come to our side of being.

We get too many misfits, too many ill-equipped, too many derelicts who are unready. It is easier for their education to begin in your world than it is in ours. So be aware of the tremendous possibilities that lie within you. Be aware of the great opportunities that you have for service. Do the best you can and then you will be fulfilling the purpose for which you came into your world”.

SPIRITUAL PHILOSOPHY

The spirit guide Silver Birch was channelled through a medium called Maurice Barbanell, who passed away 17th July 1981 at the age of 79. Maurice Barbanell was the founder and editor of a weekly Spiritualist newspaper, which is still in circulation today. Barbanell devoted half a century of his life spreading spiritual knowledge in the Psychic News.

Maurice Barbanell was born to Jewish Parents, in one or East London’s poor areas. His mother was devoutly religious, but his father was an atheist, due to this difference Barbanell heard many arguments between his parents. For a time Barbanell had the same outlook as his father, but later changed to agnosticism.

Later in life Barbanell was invited by a medium to join her at a séance, but was not impressed with what he saw, and even fell asleep on his second visit. What was strange with his ‘sleep’ and he himself thought he was asleep, in fact was in trance, having been seen by others on the circle and a Red Indian had spoken through him.

Through this trance, he was encouraged to start a paper for this guides teachings, which is how the Psychic News came about. It was many years before Barbanell revealed to his readers who was channelling the wisdom, as he did not want to be criticised for publishing his own mediumship Barbanell held many home circles where his guide Silver Birch would speak. It was always recorded in shorthand.

"There is no joy and no service that can match helping others. In a world so full of darkness, where millions have lost their way, where there are countless numbers troubled and perplexed with sorrow in their hearts, who awake each morning in fear and apprehension of what the day brings - if you can help one soul to find some serenity and to realise that he/she is not neglected, but surrounded by arms of infinite love, that is a great work. The reward in giving is so much richer than receiving the gift itself, to see the pleasure and feel the gratitude will lift you and instill within your soul love that cannot be obtained in any other way
"The law of cause and effect is basic, fundamental and unalterable because you can reap only what you have sown. Effect must follow cause with mathematical accuracy; it cannot be otherwise. In turn the effect becomes the cause by which another effect is set into motion, producing another cause. The process is a constant one"

"The marriage service performed in your churches refers to the existence of the marriage until death parts the man and his wife. If spiritually they are not united they are parted before death comes. If there is love, there is nothing that will ever separate them."

The bonds of true love are eternal and can never be broken distance nor time can ever break them

"The reason for communication is love, love governs communication, whether it be in the love founded on the relationship between people who know one another on earth, or the love of service and the desire to help mankind that attracts unknowns to one another."

Unconditional love is the truest love of all

The Great Spirit is aware of the fact that you are all human beings and imperfect. That is why you are on earth. If you were perfect you would not be where you are now. Earth is our classroom

"You who live in the world of matter are most unoriginal creatures. You do not, except very seldom, create anything. You are receiving stations and transmitting stations. Open your heart to love and you will receive positive inspiration

Spirit will never let you fall so far you cannot get up, they will assist you on your journey

When we accept spirit into our lives, our lives become the richer for it

We become stronger through challenges and when we see problems, not as problems but as challenges, we can then see they can be overcome. Challenges as designed to test us and to teach us to become more resilient and help us gain empathy and understanding and in turn this experience can help us to counsel others and help others on their journey throughout life

DIVINE TIMING~NOT A COP OUT FOR IMPATIENCE

 DIVINE TIMING

Time and time I hear from clients, when will it happen? can you give me a time? Sometimes I am lucky and I am given dates and timings but more often that not I am just told Divine Timing. It's not a cop out to give to the impatient but firstly there are no clocks nor is there a sense of time as we know it in the spirit realms and secondly it takes time to manifest the optimal times for the best result.

If you want to experience more harmony, happiness and effortless manifestation of your desires in life, you have to let go of all resistance towards whatever that comes your way. The reason why we fight against what comes is because we think that we are being kept from having our way. But the truth is whatever that happens is exactly what is meant to be, and it is all part of the process of the manifestation of our desires. Everything is happening in divine timing and we can flow if we do not limit ourselves.

Sometimes you were expecting to meet someone on a certain day but when that day comes, the person cannot meet you for some valid reason. Flow with it and meet that person on another day. The reason why you might be resisting change of events is because you have been anticipating it and thinking a lot about it. But when it doesn’t happen at the expected time, you don’t know what to do in place of it because you don’t feel like doing anything else other than that which you already had in mind.

If something doesn’t happen at the expect time in the expected way, it means it’s going to happen at a better timing in a better way. Don’t resist what is happening but instead focus on doing something else. You will discover things gone a much better way after the whole event has passed. You did something important which enhanced the meeting with the person that would not have happened otherwise. Hence it is better not to resist what is happening when it isn’t necessary, but to just go with the flow.

Just know everything happens at the RIGHT TIME AND THE BEST POSSIBLE TIME and only spirit knows this and we have to learn to trust, they do know what is best for us because spirit love us. Spirit have the ability to know what is ahead and any complications so they decide what is the best time to manifest our wishes. If we were to rush things before the optimum conditions were reached it could prevent our wishes manifesting, this is why we need to trust and believe in Divine timing.

THE MEANING OF LIFE "WHY WE ARE HERE"

EARTH IS OUR CLASSROOM

" There will always be times of adversity when we shall be tested and brought to the brink of despair and fear. At times like these, we may be tempted to forgo the ideals and principles that we hold dear. Yet, it is precisely at times like these that we must hold on to those ideals and principles tighter than ever. Ideals and principles are meant to be honoured because they are ideals and principles, and it is during the darkness of despair that we look to our ideals and principles as beacons of hope during our voyage across the stormy seas of challenge and adversity.
Life has many lessons, a lot of them we do not understand at the time we face them, but they all have a purpose. These lessons are only to help us grow and get stronger. Never stress over things that come up in life that are out of your control. Just know there is victory in the end. If you learn the lesson the first time, you will not have to repeat it over and over again."

This is so true we only realise how far we have come when we look back on our lives, then and only then do we see the bigger picture for at the time we cannot see the wood for the trees. It's only we we have come through adversity that we realise just how strong we have become. This is not designed to make us hardened in life but to enable us to support and give strength and comfort to those around us, whom who's paths we inadvertently come across, to be able to show empathy and understanding.

Never forget we will always meet others on our paths who are there to help us. When the days are long and dark and our struggles seem endless, we will never be alone to face pain and adversity. The Universe is kind.

Sometimes we need to be taken so low, but this is for our growth, but you will never be taken so low you cannot rise. Have faith, trust and the strength and support we need will be there always

Spiritualism is a Philosophy

The Philosophy of Spiritualism

As was said in our introduction to this "About" section, the philosophy of Spiritualism is at the heart of the Spiritualist Movement. Spiritualists have no fixed creed, but they are asked to adhere to seven guiding principles. "The Seven Principles", as they are known, form the cornerstone of Spiritualism. They are principles to guide us, not a creed, and different Spiritualists will interpret them differently. They are the bones of a philosophy of living and each individual Spiritualist will put different flesh on those bones, according to his or her understanding and level of spiritual development. Spiritualists realise that it is very important to allow freedom to everyone, because we are all at different levels in our understanding and practice of all the many spiritual virtues. If we look critically at ourselves, all of us will find that we are forward in some of the virtues and backward in others. For example a person might be very courageous, but prone to jealousy and possessiveness, while another might be very loving and compassionate but not very strong willed. For all of us, there are areas of our spiritual life that we need to pay more attention to and develop. It is presumptious in any case to try to control the spiritual destiny of another. We have enough to concern us in trying to fulfil our own responsibilities.

The only way one can enforce compliance with a particular set of beliefs is by inculcating fear. There are, sadly, sections of all the major religions that do this, but Spiritualism is very opposed to it. Forcing compliance by engendering fear is counter-productive, spiritually destructive and dangerous. Fear is a negative emotion, closely related to other negative emotions like anger and hatred. When fear, anger and hatred mix together, the result can be explosive. Fear drives out love. If there is one thing that our "communion" with evolved spirit beings has taught us, it is that God - The Divine Spirit - is infinitely loving and infinitely compassionate. When we experience this love and respond to it, fear is removed. We are then free to experiment, question, test things for ourselves, and learn by trial and error and experience, knowing that a loving, merciful God tolerates this, indeed expects it. This is why Spiritualism has no fixed creed, just guiding principles, which we try to relate to everything we do. Released from all fear of some stern, avenging deity, we are also free to try to live our lives with love. As everyone knows, this is not always easy, but as long as we try to the best of our ability, we will be moving forward, and will be a part of that "eternal progress" that is open to everyone.

Spiritualism declares that it is a philosophy as well as a religion and a science, and when you study it you begin to appreciate that it is a highly developed metaphysical system. For that we have to thank the many highly-evolved spirit beings who have patiently explained so much to us over the last 160+ years about the afterlife, and the meaning and purpose of the relatively short time that we spend here in a physical body in this material world. Their communications have been brought to us thanks to the dedicated service of many gifted mediums, whose talents have included mental mediumship, trance mediumship, physical mediumship, direct-voice mediumship, automatic writing and psychic art. Whether channelled from spirit, inspired by spirit, or thoughtfully composed by the author, Spiritualist writings have much to teach us about morality, spirituality, life's enduring values, the meaning and purpose of life, and what we might expect on our eventual arrival in the Spirit World.

Our Seven Principles are legally accepted and a lawfully recognised definition of the religious philosophy of Spiritualism. A brief explanation of each one follows:

1.The Fatherhood of God

By the study of Nature - that is, by trying to understand the Laws of Cause & Effect which govern all that is happening around us - we recognise that there is a creative force in the universe. This force, or energy, not only created the whole universe, but also life itself in its many forms and is continuing to create today. The effects of this eternal creation can be seen around us and this leads us to the evidence that 'God' - 'The Creative Force' - manifests directly, or indirectly, in all things. We know this power as God and as we are part of the Life created by God, we acknowledge God as our Father.

2.The Brotherhood of Man

Because we all come from the same universal life source we are, in effect, one large family, small individual offshoot from the whole. This means that all mankind is part of a brotherhood. A brotherhood is a community for mutual support and comfort. We are all members of the same divine family. We need to share our joys as well as our burdens; we need to understand the needs of other individuals in order to assist them as part of our service to each other. As we learn to give so must we also learn to receive thereby achieving the necessary balance for our life. We must look not only to the material necessities of our fellow creatures but also to their spiritual needs and help those in need to become strong and worthy of their relationship in the Family of God.

3.Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels (This is the key Principle to our Religion)

All religions believe in life after death but only Spiritualism shows that it is true by demonstrating that communication with departed spirits can and does take place. Spiritualist Churches provide one of the venues where communication, through mediumship, is possible and many loved relatives and friends take advantage of this opportunity to continue to take an interest in our welfare. There are also spirit people/teachers who are dedicated to the welfare and service of mankind. Some (e.g. Silver Birch) bring inspiration and teachings whilst others work within the healing ministry.

4.Continuous Existence of the Human Soul

It is scientifically proven that matter (being part of the creative force, or energy) cannot be destroyed; it merely changes its form. Spirit, as part of the Creative Force is, therefore, indestructible. On the death of the physical body, the spirit continues as an integral part of a world, which interpenetrates our world but in a different dimension. This world is referred to as the SpiritWorld. In spirit life we have a spirit body, which until we progress far enough, is a replica of our earthly body. We are the same individuals in every way with the same personalities and characteristics and we change only by progression, or otherwise, as a result of our own efforts. Our personal responsibilities do not stop at death.


5.Personal Responsibility

This principle is the one which places responsibility for wrongful thoughts and deeds where it belongs - with the individual. It is the acceptance of responsibility for every aspect of our lives and the use to which we place our lives depends entirely upon ourselves. It is not possible for any other person, or outside influence, to interfere with our spiritual development, unless we are willing to allow this. No one can put right the wrongdoing except the offender. As we are given freedom of choice (freewill) so also are we given the ability to recognise what is right from what is wrong. We are totally, as well as personally, responsible.


6.Compensation and Retribution hereafter for all Good and Evil Deeds done on Earth

As with all the other Principles, the natural laws apply and this one echoes the law of Cause and Effect (as you sow, so shall you reap). One cannot be cruel and vindictive towards others and expect love and popularity in return. It must be understood that the compensatory or retributive effects of this law operate now -on earth - they do not wait until we begin to live in the Spirit World.

7.Eternal Progress open to every Human Soul


In every heart there exists the desire for progress and to every human spirit belongs the power to progress in wisdom and love.
All who desire to tread the path that leads to perfection are able to pursue it. The rate of progress is directly proportional to the desire for mental and spiritual understanding. If we do our best in earth life to follow our inward prompting or intuitions; we shall find progress very easy, on earth as in spirit; if not, every step in advancement will follow a struggle against imperfections, which we ourselves will have worked into our natures. Within the Family of God, with all the advantages that our realisation of that state can give us, we are all given the opportunity to be responsible for our own eternal progress.


As a final note to these principles, Spiritualism, through an intelligent and thorough investigation of its Seven Principles, reveals the understanding, the deepest significance of service to others and transforms life from selfishness to unselfishness, from individualism to social co-operation.Only on such a foundation can love and truth and all other spiritual values have any practical meaning or reality.

SILVER BIRCH

The chances are that Silver Birch's wisdom will remain with you forever. Long after you have forgotten his precise words, his guidance will still be a very real influence whenever you need it. Silver Birch's words are so accessible and meaningful that you will never tire of reading them.

I was introduced to the teachings of Silver Birch many years ago and it is true you never will tire of reading them. There is something so special, so deep that will resonate within your soul and his words with stay with you, guide you, and comfort you for the rest of your life.

Silver Birch, the spirit guide channelled his words of wisdom through Maurice Barbanell.
He was born to Jewish parents in a poor area of London's East End. His mother was devoutly religious but his father, a barber was an atheist so Barbanell heard many arguments about religion during his early years. His father always won, and his son adopted the same outlook but later changed to agnosticism. Yet after hearing about Spiritualism from a speaker at a social and literary club of which he was secretary, Barbanell refused to start the debate by putting an opposing view - one of his duties - because, he explained, he had made no personal investigation and therefore his opinions were valueless.This impressed the speaker who invited Barbanell to attend a seance in which a medium, Mrs Blaustein, was entranced by various spirits of different nationalities. He was not impressed, and on a second visit fell asleep. Barbanell apologised, believing that either boredom or tiredness had been responsible, but the other circle members informed him that he had not been asleep but had been in a trance and a Red Indian had spoken through him.

With the encouragement of a famous Fleet Street journalist Hannen Swaffer, Barbanell founded Psychic News partly as a vehicle for the guide's teachings. But, because he knew he would be criticised for publishing his own mediumship in his own newspaper, Barbanell did not reveal to his readers for many years who was channelling the wisdom, by which time the guide had a huge following on his own merits.Silver Birch spoke regularly at Barbanell's home circle and the proceedings were always recorded shorthand. There were a number of differences in style and procedure between Barbanell's own journalistic efforts and the way in which Silver Birch communicated, as Barbanell himself observed:

"In my working life I use words every day. I have never yet written or dictated an article with which I was satisfied when I read it. Inevitably I find, when looking at the typed material, that I can improve it by altering words, phrases and sentences. No such problem arises with the guide's teachings. These flow perfectly, requiring usually only punctation. Another interesting aspect is the occasional use of words that I regard as archaic and do not form part of my normal vocabulary."

But who was Silver Birch? A psychic artist depicts him as a serious-looking native American Indian with a single feather and compassionate eyes. There is evidence to suggest that this was simply a convenient persona behind which a far more spiritually evolved soul hid in order that those who read his words would judge them not by the name attached to them but by the wisdom that pervades every sentence.Those who knew them both were well aware of the differences in the way they spoke and the words they used.
