THE DANGERS OF INEXPERIENCED PSYCHICS/MEDIUMS

Today I am blogging about inexperienced Psychics/Mediums. There are many psychics/mediums around who give the profession a bad name, trouble is a bad reading from a bad or inexperienced psychic/medium tars the rest of us with the same brush.

When embarking on this pathway each of us has personal responsibility, irrespective of what we feel is correct. How do we know if the messages we relay are correct, have we heard and interpreted them correctly? Many psychics/mediums use clairsentience (sensing feelings) to pick up messages from spirit, this has to be put into words, this can change the meaning of the message entirely by the wrong choice of words. It is important we do not influence who we are reading for, nor must we alarm or cause distress, we must be sensitive to the recipient and be tactful. If you are not sure of what you are picking up, don’t say it either. We must also bear in mind nothing is written in stone and subject to change and its possible we could be wrong, the professional Psychic/ Medium will never foretell, death, nor illness, nor diagnose, for they are not doctors for this very reason.

Many so called psychics/mediums are unable to distinguish what energy level they are working with, psychic energy resonates at a lower level than spiritual energy, the two are entirely different. spiritual energy is how Mediums communicate with spirit, whereas psychic energy deals with the energy from the aura. The inexperienced medium will not validate the source of the message, this is extremely important for they could be relaying messages from lower elementals or from the dark side. When delivering messages from spirit it is essential we identify who the spirit is by gaining survival evidence i.e. evidence only the recipient would know, the character of the disincarnate, what they died from and names, dates as much information as you can to prove you are talking to someone the recipient recognises. Of course psychic/mediums do work with guides and the experienced will recognise when the message is coming from an established guide and when it is not. A reading should be constructed in such away, it answers the recipients queries and leaves the recipient calm. If a loved one in spirit has a message he/she will come forward, you cannot summon spirit or a specific spirit. The use of Ouija boards, planchettes is not recommended as these attract lower elementals and the dark side

It is also important psychic/mediums have counselling experience, and I don’t mean a few days training either but a proper professional course recognised by a professional authority, this is valuable as when relaying messages it is possible all manner of feelings in the recipient will emerge. Supposing the recipient was sexually abused as a child, would you know how to deal with this? I cannot stress enough do not read for anyone unless you know how to tactfully and sensitively deal with delicate situations. You cannot become a professional psychic/medium overnight, it takes time to gain experience and develop, sometimes years, of sitting in a development circle with an experienced medium, who’s valuable experience will guide you safely. Psychic intuition courses claiming to develop you over a period of 4 classes are to be avoided as you cannot gain the experience needed for this work in so short a time, especially to be avoided if large  course fees are needed, charlatan comes to mind when I hear of this. If you truly want to foliow this pathway, it takes dedication and time, it should not involve money. The spiritualist church or the National Union of Spiritualists can direct you to a development circle near you, where the only money involved is for refreshments at the end of the meeting

Too many inexperienced psychics/mediums do more harm than good, a good reading is when the recipient leaves you feeling better for seeing you and is uplifted. All too often I have heard of inexperienced psychics/mediums causing worry and anxiety that is very unprofessional and this causes the public to take a dim view of us in general, it only takes a few bad apples to destroy the reputation some of us who are striving towards to achieve professionalism.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A PSYCHIC/MEDIUM READING

First of all let me reassure you it's not a weird nor creepy experience, whether its in person, on the phone or via chat/messenger readings. Basically when I link with spirit, it's just like having a three way chat, only difference is that you, the client, can't see or hear who I am speaking to, this does not mean I will make up a reading, far from it I will first of all obtain 'survival evidence' i.e. proof this person did exist on earth and I look for names, dates, the cause of death and their character and relation to you. I will also look for pieces of unique information only known to you as evidence their spirit was around you, i.e giving me details of what you have been doing recently etc.

Normally I begin looking for a way to connect with the client, I can use a mantic tool, such as cards, crystals or a palm, for without that connection I cannot proceed. Every reading should be viewed as an experiment, sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes this is the client who is inadvertently blocking the psychic, all that might be needed is to unfold the arms or uncross the legs sometimes the client is unconsciously closing down their mind. Psychics do need your permission to read for you.

Nor are we mind readers. I often get calls asking me, "Can you tell me what my boyfriend/girlfriend or whoever is thinking about me?" The short answer is NO I can't, nor can any psychic medium tell you this. Everybody's thoughts are private, so there is no point in asking and any psychic medium who tells you they can read minds I'm afraid is making this up. However what we can do is this: we can connect to the boy friend's etc spirit guide and they can tell us how they are feeling and of course the spirit guide will only tell us what they have permission to tell us. Mind reading is a misconception and myth I'm afraid.

Another fallacy is NO ONE can predict the future accurately, in spite of what you have been led to believe. Psychic medium's are not fortune tellers anybody who thinks or says this is misinformed. It may surprise you to know this but you already know your future, no one else does, for YOU alone planned it, you planned what experiences and challenges YOU wished to go through before you incarnated on earth. However what psychic medium's can do is this: we can tap into your auric field for the vibrations of your past, present and future are there but its down to how good a connection we have. The other fly in the ointment to this process is what's known as 'FREE WILL' Free will is whether we wish to go through with what we alone have planned and of course since everyone has Free will can you now see how practically impossible it is to predict the future accurately? However what I can do is link with Spirit, whether it is loved ones that have passed over or a Spirit Guide and they can more accurately  give me some more information as to likely outcomes. They WILL NOT tell me what is coming if there is a spiritual challenge coming up as this is a teaching experience and something that should not be avoided, and if I was party to this information you might try and avoid it.

So to those clients, who come to me and ask in the first few seconds, What is Tom, Dick or Harry thinking? if you want a straight answer I'm afraid I don't know, there's a bit more work involved and it requires the psychic a little more time to form a link. Sadly these client's come away disappointed and annoyed that they didn't get an immediate answer in the first few seconds and go away labelling us as useless and no good, and all because they are ignorant of what skills we have and how we work.

Neither I nor any other psychic medium want a client to go away feeling disappointed but you need to allow us to form a link with you either within your aura or with your spirit guides to gleam information. The vast majority of us work to extremely high ethical standards and we can only tell you, the client what information we receive, nor can we influence Tom, Dick or Harry to be attracted to you or make them like you, we cannot make things up to let you hear what you want to hear. Sometimes you will get information you won't like, this is not the psychic medium's fault, we are only the messenger. However what we can do is this: we can let you know you are loved and supported and guided by spirit, that you are never alone in your darkest hour and are given strength to cope with whatever the Universe throws at us all. Not only that WE CAN PROVE THIS, by giving you survival evidence and by giving us a little time to connect we can hopefully uplift you and that you go away feeling better to having talked with us.

COMMUNICATING WITH 'THE OTHER SIDE'

Linking with spirit

As I have said before the best way to develop your abilities is either in a group, such as a circle attached to a psychic college or spiritualist church or under the tutelage of an experienced medium.

Not everyone who sits in a circle will necessarily go on to be a platform medium and as often the case are happy to sit in circle contributing their energy to the group. However the time will come when its time to raise your vibrations and take that step in linking with those in the spirit world. I recommend you do this in a circle or with an experienced medium as you need to be confident in what you are doing and keeping yourself safe.

Before you reach this stage you will have of course learned to protect yourself and be experienced in meditation, reason being as its the best way to develop strong mind control which is essential in this work. By this time too, you will have developed the ability to close down fully and open up at will.

When you are ready you need to clear your mind, this is why meditation is important and it teaching you how to still your mind necessary to allow spirit to link with you as all communication with spirit is done through the mind. Having a group around you also boosts your energy to facilitate a good link as does having an experienced medium as he or she will direct some energy to help you connect.. There is a difference in connecting with spirit to receive messages as opposed to delivering healing. Healing energy is a very passive energy and almost trance like whereby  connecting for the purposes of receiving messages is much more energetic and you will find it easier to stand up and perhaps walk about. Some mediums I know like to listen to upbeat music before taking to the platform as they say it helps them raise their vibration to be able to connect with spirit.

This is the method I would use for teaching linking with spirit.

Firstly clear your mind and ask spirit to come close. In the beginning you may find it easier to close your eyes, later on as you become more experienced you will no longer need to do this.

Ask yourself what does the energy feel like? is it a soft energy? a strong energy? Depending on your abilities you may be seeing a picture in your minds eyes or you may just sense. Trust is everything here so trust what your intuition is telling you. Is the energy male or female? No ask spirit to describe themselves, what they look like? Constantly keep asking them to draw close and ask what they passed over with, they me impose a feeling over you like a sudden pain in your head for a stroke say, you may see pictures, you mean hear their voice, but when they do it comes in very fast, too fast for you to think about it, this is why you must learn to still your mind through meditation. Ask what age they were when they passed and ask their name? but above all trust spirit, your own guides will be helping you. It's just as frustrating for spirit on the other side to link with those on the earth plane as they have to lower their vibration to meet you, just as you have to raise yours to link with them. What you are looking for is 'Survival Evidence' to prove that life exists beyond the grave. Ask too why they have come forward today for they generally have come forward for a reason to pass on a message either to you or someone you know so you can pass it on, or someone within the circle. More often than not they tend to come close because of an anniversary of their passing or a birthday.

When you no longer feel you can gain anymore information thank spirit for the message and coming forward and begin to close down and ground yourself, easiest way to to have a glass of water.

Many times i am asked if i can link with someone specifically in the spirit world, that is not up to us, we cannot conjure up someone on command, it is spirit's choice, i will generally ask though and put the thought forward to my guides often I am lucky and the specific person will come forward but even then I ask for identification in that I ask spirit to give me some information that only the person i am reading for, would know. This could be an anecdote from the past or something they have been doing in their home recently as their loved one in spirit has been around them observing what has been going on recently.

The purpose of a medium is to seek confirmation, with as much clues as is possible to prove life goes on after physical death and to trust what information spirit give you and not let your own thoughts interfere and corrupt this evidence. After identifying and proving who they are, they may give some information about the future but they will only do this providing it will not interfere with any challenges or karmic lessons

Being a psychic medium I am asked questions all the time, most often what is he or she thinking? I cannot tell you this as I do not read minds and in fact no psychic medium can read minds. What we do firstly on a psychic level is to read Auras and it is within the aura we are able obtain information about a person's past, what is going on in the present and the potential for the future. I say potential because nothing is written in stone for although we all incarnate with a basic blueprint of choices about what we wish to gain from our life, we also have free will and it is this free will that makes accuracy more difficult. On a mediumistic level I can communicate with guides or loved ones and it is up to them and my interpretation whether I can gleam any information. Sometimes guides will deliberately not reveal information and will step back, this is because there is a challenge and lesson involved and its in our interest to go through it as it will be a valuable teaching experience for us.

Further many will ask questions about a situation and the answer may not be to the questioner's liking. Life is not a bed of roses all the time, so sometimes you may get an answer not to your liking. As a psychic medium I have to give what I am given. Where would my credibility be if I just made it all up and I try my best to give evidence only the recipient would know and I do this mostly with spirit. That does not mean I don't have personal responsibility, that we all do, so I do have to chose what I say wisely and you need to be aware answers are based on many factors, the link, the connection and the medium's interpretation.

Sometimes the answers you may seek will not be the outcome you desire. The moral is: "Don't ask questions if you are not prepared for the answer"
